How it works
From start to settled, in three beats.

Compose
A parent writes to their child on the family channel, from their own phone.

Seal
The message is encrypted on the device; the server stores only ciphertext and holds no key.

Open
Only the child’s device can decrypt it. The school sees that a message was sent, never the words.
Why it’s different
The school can’t read the family’s messages. By design.
Parent and child conversations are end-to-end encrypted. The comms officer sees that a message was sent, never its contents. Broadcasts and escalations stay fully on the school’s side.
Real family privacy, and the school still governs its own channels.
